Urethra comparison

A Male urethra is close around 20 cm in length compared to the 4 cm length of a female. Males urethra is a dual threat having 2 uses where in a female it only has one use.

Accessory organs

  • Ureter connects kidney and bladder where contractions move urine into bladder.
  • Bladder holds the urine with a mucosa valve to prevent back flow of urine.
  • Urethra tube extending from bladder that removes urine from body.
